Are you a Real Christian?

The simplest definition of being a real Christian and what real Christianity is all about, can be found in the bible itself in James 1:26-27.  It is a very simple but yet powerful definition.  There are others as well but James frames it nicely.

James 1:26-27 ESV / "If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world".

To be unstained from the world means to be separate, or Holy.  To be righteous in God's sight, one only has to do what James here says.  Though faith is also part of the Christian life, it is not the only thing and in fact James also tells us that faith without works is dead and saves no one. We also know that works alone is dead, so it's a combination of the two that makes someone a real Christian.
