| There is no perfect church because churches are made up of imperfect people. Did you ever notice how everyone thinks they attend the only church that's on it's way to heaven? Of course you have, but it's much worse than that. Actually even most folks who know little about God think they are on their way to heaven because they think they are good enough to make it on their own. (see the good people page for more on this) But here we will discuss church in general. Does one have to go to church to be a Christian or make it to heaven? No but it certainly helps and is encouraged by the local assembling of like minded Christians in church. Corporate worship and praise to God as is needed in the lives of believers and is pretty tough to do on your own. Plus often overlooked is, we all have different talents and they all work together for good to those who love the Lord. So someone else in your local church probably needs you and it's not made complete when you are not there. "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near." (Heb. 10:23-25)
