Mark 1:21-22: They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach. 22The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.
Of course we know Jesus had authority and has it now, but what did they mean by sounding so different from the other teachers of the law?
Think of this. Jesus never misspoke or mis-stepped ever! You never would have heard any of the following coming from Jesus. " Uh-oh, maybe, probably, possibly, ummm, I'm not sure, sorry, I apologize, let me get back to you on that, are you crazy?,ahhhh.
Jesus never took polls or looked for consensus, among the people because he knew exactly what was important at all times. The only time he really seemed to care about what others thought was when it regarded their faith. He asked questions of people, but it wasn't because he didn't know something, instead it was always in regards to challenge the peoples fears and doubts.
In addition, Jesus was never late, he was always on time, he never made one mistake, not only did he lead a sinless life, but he lived a perfect human life as well. For many Jesus was just too heavenly minded to be any earthly good, but the reality was and is, the people who live lives like this are the only ones who make the world a better place even if temporarily.
