If the bible is the word of God and it is, then the Antichrist and Satan are just as real as the air you breathe. Chances that the final antichrist is alive now and already in some sort of position of power, is a virtually a 100% probability.
In Revelation 13:18 it says anyone with wisdom find the meaning of the number of the beast and the beast is the antichrist. His number will be the number of a man which is 666. So it already tells us in the scripture that it's a man. It does not say in this passage to go out and try to figure out who is precisely through numerical code. It is simply saying it is a man and not an actual beast, because if it didn't, people would think it is an actual beast.
But there will be other things far easier to identify the antichrist by, than mathematically which is wrong to do anyway. One is, he will receive a mortal head wound and appear to be dead, then come back to life (almost Christ like). One verse passage that refers to this is (Rev 13:11-12)
"Then I saw another beast coming up out of the Earth,
and he had two horns like a lamb
and spoke like a dragon.
And he exercises all the authority
of the first beast [the Antichrist] in his presence,
and causes the Earth and those who dwell in it
to worship the first beast [the Antichrist],
whose deadly [head] wound was healed."
The other is the "confirmation" of the seven year peace agreement with Israel and her enemies. However, this does not necessarily mean he initiates it. Another thing the antichrist will do is seek to have the times and God's law changed, see Daniel 7:25. This can certainly include the many laws that are being changed already here in America by executive order now. Abortion laws are being overturned and they are looking to reinstate the 'fairness' doctrine which would change the FCC laws of free speech to silence Christians and other critics especially.
But whoever it is, he will be identified very soon now and many will be able to point to the identification and it will be very clear for all to see. In 2nd Thessalonians below, we see some in Jesus day thought Jesus had already come the 2nd time, but Paul assured them this could not be the case because the antichrist had not yet been revealed nor had the great rebellion from the truth occurred yet. We need to realize reveled does not necessarily mean identified, but could be as simple as being born.
This does not mean however, that the antichrist will be revealed only after he turns on Israel and sets himself up as God to be worshipped. He will easily be identified long before this no brainer event happens. The confirmation of the seven year peace treaty with Israel, which happens 3- 1/2 years before his changing from peacemaker to 'God hater' and self proclaimed God himself will be proof enough, along with the head wound event, which no one is sure when this will happen, but this could happen any day now.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 - Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come. Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for (that day will not come) until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
Lastly on this we need to realize because this is the last generation that will see the end of all things, the Antichrist must be on the scene already somewhere, though possibly not in the place of final power. Again revealed does not mean identified and the falling away from truth is well under way and has been here in America at least, since prayer was legally removed from American schools decades ago. This has been a slow falling away but a falling away none the less. There will be another more clear and final turning away after the 6th seal is broken which will give rise to the antichrist's final rise to power.
The 6th seal will be broken any day now and the Antichrist will be identified positively with either the head wound event or the confirmation of the 7 year peace treaty between Israel and her enemies, so there is no need to identify him numerically.
