But taking peace from the earth did not just produce more wars which are obvious to see that it did here, but more murder and killings of all kinds. The fact is there has been no peace whatsoever since Jesus day and it is far more likely that this seal was broken long ago and is not some future event. If it were, it would be extremely difficult to discern when it would be considering what is going on already. The fact is this seal along with the first has long been open. Pre-wrathministry.org says: “The third seal is a rider on a black horse and we are told that a quart of wheat will sell for a days wages. This, then, is a reference to the coming of famine”. End quote. The coming of famine? We have had famines since Jesus day all over the world in every century since the early church. Again going to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_famines , you can see for yourself how famine has increased substantially, especially starting in the 17th century. But also to note in the scripture is it is not just describing famine, in fact to be totally accurate it’s not describing famine so much as it is inflation. But also we see do not damage the oil or wine. This means the rich will stay rich. The poor who can only afford a loaf of bread if they are fortunate enough could never afford oil or wine. So the rich among us are not doing enough to help with the feeding of the poor and is why they will be judged so much more severely than others. To whom much is given, much is required. Rev 6:7-8: “When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I looked, and there before me was a pale horse. Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth”. Pre-wrathministry.org says: “The fourth seal is a rider on a pale horse whose name is death. As this seal is opened the ¼ of the earth is under the power of this rider to kill by wars, famines, and other catastrophes. It seems that the ¼ quantity applies to the segment of the world under its control and not necessarily to the number who are actually killed”. End quote. Again it’s interesting to note here that they do not say that Death and Hades do not deserve the power they are given as they said about the first rider. But they still miss a lot here just as before as well as their last sentence not even making much sense. One fourth of the earth’s population is already dying by these methods so there is nothing new here just as with the first three seals. Also Hades makes two riders at this seal not just one. This makes the four horsemen of the Apocalypse a myth because in fact there are five. But also the bible never uses the word Apocalypse. This has been a man made term. If you do want to label something the Apocalypse then at least identify where it starts correctly. God’s wrath begins at the 6th seal not before. |
