| But the facts are different than what they imply. If he was given a crown, he deserved it AND he has tremendous authority because of the crown alone. God gives no one a crown unless they deserve it. None of the other four riders in seals two through four have crowns, so this rider is obviously more authoritative than they are. Then they skip over the importance of the fact that he is on a white horse. Who in the bible rides a white horse? Jesus and Jesus alone in chapter 19 of Revelation. They completely skip over the fact that he has a bow in his hand. Who else do we see in scripture that has a bow in his hand? How about Jesus himself in Zechariah 9:13-14 which is describing the 2nd coming of Revelation chapter 19: 13" I will bend Judah as I bend my bow and fill it with Ephraim. I will rouse your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and make you like a warrior’s sword. 14 Then the LORD will appear over them; his arrows will flash like lightning. The Sovereign LORD will sound the trumpet; he will march in the storms of the south". Then they end their defense of their implications and indications with "Most scholars agree that this seal describes the appearance of the Antichrist on the scene. He will begin the 70th Week by looking like the answer to the problems of the world". But it doesn’t matter if most "scholars" agree or not. It only matters what scripture already says, if the scholars agree with scriptures then great, but unfortunately most don’t. Actually the Antichrist does not begin Daniels 70th week at all, but the 6th seal itself does. So then, Jesus starts it since he is the breaker of all the seals. Also we see in Daniel 8:13-14, that the massive turning away from the faith does not really begin until one year into or past the breaking of the 6th seal (or the confirmation of the seven year agreement made between Israel and her enemies). Whichever occurs first will likely be the deciding factor, or they could occur very close to each other. Also the Antichrist does not even take his ultimate power until the 2nd 3-1/2 year period of the great distress. We see that the Antichrist is not even mentioned in Revelation until the 13th chapter, so why then does anyone want to insert him into the first seal where he has no place? Another thing is, it is in fact the turning away from truth and faith that gives rise to the Antichrist, the false prophet and the destroyer later on, who will kill approximately one billion tribulation saints by beheading. Because the Antichrist (the beast) is not mentioned before chapter 13, we should not mention him either. Revelation was written in a numerical, sequential and chronological order for a reason. The reason is because it must be followed as it was already written. So what are we to conclude? The rider on this white horse is more likely Jesus himself who will win the victory, not the Antichrist. The only conquering the Antichrist will realize will be fleeting and very temporary. Also he is looking to destroy for destructions sake but his ultimate goal is to be worshipped as God. Continued on Page 3..... |
